I was moved to paint this piece, since each time I passed through Sha'ar Yaffo, it was with excitement and anticipation. The feeling of walking into the Old City, hearing shoes click against the old historic stone, understanding that we are walking to the place that connects us all together, and feeling spiritually recharged while walking back out. As I view this painting, I am once again brought back into those awesome moments.
